Marin Headlands & Point Bonita

My boyfriend planned out a special day for my birthday that involved a gourmet picnic and a bike ride over the Golden Gate Bridge, to the Marin Headlands and out to the Point Bonita Lighthouse. They were electric bikes, so they came with a bit of an oomph, but up some of those gargantuan hills on the way back, they felt more like heavy dead-weight bikes. But it was worth it! The views out by the lighthouse were absolutely stunning.

I'm the first to admit, these booties are a bit on the crazy side. And that's why I love them! They punch up any outfit. I paired them with a chunky, oversize sweater, and added some teal accessories to accentuate that pop of color. I put this outfit together while I was visiting my parents for Thanksgiving, and the rocks in the backyard were just begging for a photoshoot. I used to play on these rocks a lot as a kid, and clearly they're still a source of entertainment for me as an adult.

Thanksgiving Feast

I always look forward to coming home for Thanksgiving and relaxing with the fambam. My mom is an amazing cook, and she whips up an incredible feast every year that's pretty much to die for. This year, I documented the smorgasbord with Instagram (follow me: @WTFab1). 

Cooking with my dad's fresh basil is the best. Our backyard always makes me feel at home. My mom's gotten into collecting weird squash. This one is a swan gord. Get it?

Mom's a pro at pretty flower arrangements.

Yummy apps to start us off right. That dip is one of my favs to make. I'll share the recipe soon!

Happy Thanksgiving! I consider myself to be quite the lucky duck and am thankful for so many things. Here are a few:

My amazing boyfriend. My wonderful friends (who helped me get through grad school!). My incredible family.

My fabulous girlfriends. Living it up in San Francisco.

A job that I truly love. That first cup of coffee in the morning. A president who has my back.

I've finally come to terms with the fact that our Indian Summer was short-lived, and unsatisfactory. It was an upsetting realization, but I felt a little happier when I pulled out my pretty winter coats. 

Etre sent me these cute gloves, and while they may look like your normal designed in the British Isles gloves, don't be fooled. They have special super powers...they work with touch screens! Hooray! My boss and I were just having a conversation about how NYC in the winter + trying to use your smartphone = disastrous. Take that, first world problems.

Even though the temperatures are dropping, I wanted to find a way to wear this new dress, sent to me by Calico (who btw, I noticed has Leila from ANTM as their cover girl. Love that gap-toothed chick), after I'd racked up enough points on Chictopia. I love the print of this dress and how the flirty hem poked out underneath my white coat.
