After spending a week in Mexico eating and drinking to my heart's content, I was in major need of a detox. Last week I did a 5-day juice cleanse with some co-workers (the team that juices together, stays together!) and I also wanted to do my usual workouts while on the cleanse, so I added in a protein smoothie once a day. Slimfast has a new, limited addition flavor that also happens to be my favorite alcoholic beverage—pina colada! Here's what I whipped up for my daily shake:
1 bottle Slimfast pina colada
1 cup almond milk
1 cup ice
1 cup chopped mango
1 tablespoon whey (or any preferred) protein powder
I'm feeling lighter and brighter after my cleanse, and I'm thinking I'll continue mixing in Slimfast shakes with my regular diet as I get ready for summer (and for some of the skimpier dresses I have in the back of my closet that rarely make an appearance due to SF's usually foggy weather).
