How was everyone's weekend? I wore this outfit yesterday to watch the Niners beat the Eagles (yeah!). We snapped these photos on our way to one of our favorite local sports bars where we watched the game. I dressed up a simple Niners tee with high-waisted jeans, over-the-knee boots, and red accents from my bag, new phone case, and a swipe of red lipstick.

I'm super excited to be partnering with Verizon again on their #MoreNorCal campaign (remember last time when we explored the Union Street Festival with a GoPro?), and what's more Nor Cal than the 49ers? A long-time fan from when my dad used to take us as kids to the Stick, I'm thrilled to be joining Verizon at the new Levi's Stadium when the Niners take on the Rams in November. Until then, I'll be watching the games at home, or on the go, since MORE Everything customers get Verizon NFL Mobile free for the entire 2014/2015 season!

Last week I had the pleasure of attending the world premiere of this year's Lunafest, held at The Palace of Fine Arts. Put on my Lunabar, the event is a film festival that connects women, their stories, and their causes through film. I'll be honest, I had no idea what a treat I was in for. The evening consisted of eight short films, all by talented women filmmakers. The stories they told were all different—charming, through-provoking, depressing, surprising. They were all fantastic, but I think my favorite was Chicas Day. You can check out the trailer here, and find out when Lunafest comes to your city here. If you go, I'm curious to hear which short film is your favorite!

How adorable is the new Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream perfume? Marc Jacobs' fragrances always come in the prettiest, most whimsical bottles, and I'll definitely be keeping this one to decorate my dresser long after the perfume is gone. This new fragrance is fruity and floral with a light and airy touch, inspired by the boundless spirit of daisies and blue skies.

A couple weekends ago, Marc Jacobs invited me to their Dream Clouds Lounge event, held in Union Square. At the event, people played with dream pods and created their own inspirational dream capsules. I'm a firm believer that you should never stop dreaming, so I was more than happy to make my own dream capsule.

My capsule consists of things that keep me inspired—travel, my happy place (near the ocean), love, and styling photo shoots for WTFab. And Marc Jacobs wants to know about your dreams too. You can create your own capsule and you’ll be entered into their sweepstakes.

I’m thinking I might print out my dream capsule and pin it up on my bulletin board by my desk. I’ve also been playing the Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream playlist on repeat while I’m working—it captures the spirit of the fragrance and also happens to be the perfect ode to the end of summer playlist.

Friday Favs

Sep 19, 2014

Happy Friday! Here are a few favorite things that are spicing up my weekend...

This adorable umbrella ring holder from Anthropolgie that's keeping my ring safe when I take it off. It's not available online any more, but here's a similar one.
New pretty lingerie c/o ThirdLove (ooh lala), sparkly Louboutins c/o The Real Real, and a beautiful new fragrance, Daisy Dream, c/o Marc Jacobs.
So excited to try out Laser Fx by Dr. Brandt's Skincare! I'm trying their perfect, bright, and lift serums that target specific problems like wrinkles, dark spots and sagging skin. Since I don't have wrinkles or sagging skin (phew), I think I'm most excited about the brightening serum, because I'd love to have more even-toned, radiant skin (who wouldn't?). But you can also layer on the different Dr. Brandt products, so I might just try all three!
Adorable little plotted rosemary plant from our friends' wedding last weekend. They served as centerpieces and later as favors for people to take home, so now we have one perking up our window sill.

Thanks to Dr. Brandt Skincare for sponsoring today's post. And thanks to you all for supporting the brands that support WTFab!

Riviera Maya, Mexico

Sep 18, 2014

Since it's almost the official last day of summer, I thought I'd share some photos of travels to warmer places from earlier this year, that I hadn't gotten around to posting. Our trip to Mexico feels like a long time ago, even though it's only been a few months. While I'm sad summer is pretty much over, we've still got a few fun trips planned for the year, including Sedona, Vegas and Boston.

Exploring the cenotes (underground caves filled with water) was such an adventure. I tried not think about the movie The Descent too much.
