Kate Spade Dress // M.GEMI Shoes // Chanel Bag // Kate Spade Earrings

This past weekend Omied and I had the awesome opportunity to head town to Santa Ynez for an influencers/media wine trip! I posted a bunch about it on Instagram, and I'm currently editing tons of photos and working on a detailed write up from the trip. But for now, here's a look at what I wore on the second day of our bloggers trip, where we were wine tasting from 10am 'til dinner! It was a beautiful day in Los Olivos and I was able to wear this Kate Spade dress without getting too cold. We had lunch at Fess Parker Winery and sat down with their wine maker Blair Fox to learn more about the winery and the varietals they make. It was such a treat and I can't wait to come back to this beautiful winery soon!

Blogger Bloopers - Maui Edition

Jan 26, 2017

Usually, bloggers only share their picture-perfect glam shots. But in reality, most shots are far from Insta-worthy. For your entertainment, I thought it'd be fun to share some of the behind the scenes bloopers that came about while I was shooting my Maui travel video. Enjoy, and try not to laugh too hard at me! ;D And special thanks to my sister for the inspiration and helping me shoot my travel vid!

Sooo I officially leave on my two month Eurotrip in less than a week! But before I leave I'm squeezing in a blogger trip to Santa Barbara and an Arvin Studios photoshoot this weekend. So things are a liiiiiitle bit hectic around here as I'm prepping and running errands. Oh and packing, I need to do that at some point too I think. ;)

We had a bunch going on this weekend, but with all the crazy rain what I really wanted to do come Sunday was curl up with a warm blanket and a good book. Since that wasn't an option considering all I needed to get done that day, I had to find another way to indulge in a quiet moment. I braved the rain to walk over to a cute coffee shop nearby and set up shop with my laptop so I could jam on emails and blog things for a bit, while sipping a cappuccino and enjoying my favorite tart and sweet treat—noosa yoghurt. It's seriously the creamiest, yummiest yoghurt. Omied tried it for the first time (because I'm a nice wifey and gave him some to take to work as a snack), and he literally texted me to say holy cow noosa is so creamy and delicious! I was like, I know. If you want to try noosa and have an oh em gee moment too, here's a coupon for you!

Maui Travel Video

Jan 19, 2017

During my trip to Maui at the beginning of the year, I thought it would be fun to shoot a little travel video. I made it short and snappy, just sharing the highlights of the trip, and shot it all on my Google Pixel phone and GoPro Hero 3. I'm also including a list of recs from the video, in case you're planning a trip to the beautiful Valley Isle!

:17 - Drinks and sunset at the Hyatt Regency Maui
:32 - Nakelele Blowhole
:40 - Coconut Caboose (the naked coconut gelato is ridiculously yummy)
:52 - Poke bowls at Tamuras
:58 - Snorkeling at Olawalu
1:30 - Jungle hike to Honolua Bay
1:48 - Dinner at Star Noodle
1:58 - Shave ice at Ululani's
2:10 - Brunch at Gazebo
2:20 - Whale watching trip with Pacific Raft Adventures

BCBGMAXAZRIA Jacket // Cynthia Rowley Jumpsuit // DSW Heels (c/o) // Rebecca Minkoff Bag (c/o TheRealReal)

Okayyyy let's talk about this one-shouldered Cynthia Rowley jumpsuit!! I want to wear it everywhere, all the time. It's soo comfortable and flattering, and the ruffles are the perfect feminine touch. I wore this outfit to a wine tasting event last week, and contrasted the girly ruffles with this more boxy, structured BCBG jacket (aren't the embroidered details fun?).

The wine tasting was at Cameron Hughes, which is a wine wholesaler and importer. I had heard of the concept of wholesale wine before, but didn't really understand exactly what that meant, and after going to this event and learning all about it I feel like I am in on a very well kept secret. Don't worry, I'm going to share it with you too! ;) At the tasting we learned from the owner and the brand's namesake that Cameron Hughes doesn't actually produce wine themselves. Instead, they partner with amazing, critically acclaimed wineries and vineyards to bottle and sell wine and blends under the CH brand. Cam handpicks the wine, and I was totally blown away by how delicious every single wine that we tried was. If I wasn't such a lightweight, I would have had uno mas of everything, por favor. Because of their business model, they're able to sell wine that would usually be around $100 for a fraction of that price...like $16. Crazy, right?? We've definitely found our new house wine to have on-hand for dinner parties, or to bring as a guest. My favorites that we tried were the 2014 Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon and the 2015 Moscato d'Asti. We also paired some of these delicious wines with Christopher Elbow chocolate, since they are doing a collaboration for Valentine's Day where you can purchase a gift set box with truffles and wine. I mean can you think of anything better? You can find Cameron Hughes wine at Costco or online, and the V-Day set will be available on their website 1/31. Cheers!

Uniqlo Jumpsuit // BB Dakota Jacket // Target Heels // BCBG Necklace

We finally had a break in the rain and a sun shiny Saturday, so I pulled out this super cute and comfortable jumpsuit that I got on sale at Uniqlo for $20 (yes, twenty!) that I've been waiting to wear. It's a three day weekend for me and while I have a ton on my to-do list (so much to do before I leave for Europe in a couple weeks!) I'm looking forward to getting in some relaxation and making an effort to squeeze in a couple things to take care of myself, like a yoga session. Omied has recently gotten into doing yoga once a week after he read in a Men's Fitness article how important it is for guys to stay flexible as they get older, so he's been encouraging me to do it with him...and it cracks me up that I kinda hate yoga but my husband is the one getting me to get my yoga on with him once a week.

The other thing I'm doing this weekend is refreshing my skincare routine. Flights dry out my skin like no other (all that recirculated air blowing on your face...bleh) and I'm about to be hopping on a lot of them over the next couple months. Clarins recently sent me their newly launched Super-Quenching duo, along with a study they did about "thermic shocks." It's the idea that we are subjected to sudden shifts in temperate and humidity many times every day (think about walking from the freezing cold air onto the hot as heck subway), and each time it affects our skin's hydration. The Hydra-Essentiel  Bi-Phase Serum and Silky Cream work to combat this and help your skin retain its moisture. Both of these products smell and feel amazing and I'm really looking forward to incorporating them into my beauty routine. I've been using the serum the last few nights and I love how it feels on my skin.

I'd love to know, how do you keep your skin hydrated on long flights? Have you tried Clarins' new Hydra-Essentiel duo?

Big thanks to Clarins for sponsoring this post!

Postcards from Maui

Jan 12, 2017

Aloha! Sharing just a few photos from Maui along with a couple recs and tips. I'm also working on a Maui travel video that I can't wait to share with you next week!

Nakalele blowhole is a fun stop. While it's steep, it's not too difficult to hike down to.

I've seen the Maui heart shaped rock on Instagram, but didn't realize it's right by the blowhole! Once you hike down to the blowhole, look to your right and you'll see the heart shaped puka (hole) in the rocks.

Finally tried Gazebo Restaurant in Maui! The wait wasn't too bad (it's a tiny spot by the water) and we only stood around for about a half hour, rather than the usual one to two hours. The macadamia nut pancakes with coconut syrup are what Hawaiian dreams are made of.
